Sizing
Get this right and the rest is easy.
Each band is made from scratch at the size you give me, so the size is the one decision that’s awkward to undo. Two ways to work it out below. If you’re between sizes or unsure at all, message me before you order — I’d far rather spend an email on it.
Estimate
Size it, and see what’s in it.
Choose a size and a width to see roughly what a band works out to — the pure silver in it at today’s price with a small margin, plus the hand-work behind it. The price you actually pay is set on each band’s page; this just shows where it comes from.

An estimate, not a quote. Every band stays between £150 and £250, comes in a ring pouch, and is posted by regular mail (£25) or recorded, signed-for delivery (£55).
Method one — best
Measure a ring that already fits.
Take a ring that fits the finger you have in mind. Lay it flat and measure straight across the inside of it, edge to edge, through the middle — that’s the inside diameter.
Find that number in the millimetre column of the chart below. A ruler will get you close; digital calipers will get you exact. Measure twice.
Method two
Wrap the finger itself.
Cut a strip of paper about 5 mm wide. Wrap it round the base of the finger, snug but not tight, and mark where it overlaps. Unwrap it and measure to the mark in millimetres — that’s the circumference.
Check it passes over your knuckle before you commit. If your knuckle is much bigger than the base of the finger, size to the knuckle.

Three things worth knowing.
Fingers change through the day. They’re smallest first thing in the morning and in the cold, largest in the evening and in the heat. Measure warm, and in the evening — you want the size that fits then, not the one that fits at 7am in February.
A broader band feels tighter than a narrow one at the same size. More metal sits against more of your finger. If you are on the line between two sizes, take the larger one.
Don’t measure over a knuckle you can’t get past. The ring has to travel over the joint to get on. Size to whichever is bigger, the knuckle or the base.
